Seismic Acquisition & Processing Consultant

Adedapo Adepoju is a geophysicist with special bias for geophysical data acquisition and processing. He has over 25 years upstream oil and gas experience in various settings and capacities. His work experiences includes a year at IDSL, NNPC Geophysical Data Processing Division, processing various land and marine 2D seismic projects in Niger Delta; 4 years with CTC-Pulsonic in Lagos and Calgary working on various land and marine 2D seismic as well as 3D Marine processing projects from Niger delta, for clients including Shell , Chevron, Pan Ocean and then Texaco and Elf; 6 years with Saudi Aramco processing center; working on various Saudi Arabian land 3D seismic processing projects as well reprocessing of 2D Marine data from the region.

He has also worked in various capacities on numerous offshore acquisition projects in different regions of the world. Some of the projects he has worked on includes Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC), Ocean Bottom Nodes (OBN), conventional streamer, deep-towed streamer, slant streamer and geo-streamer. He has worked in various capacities in acquisition quality control and assurance, on-board processing, and operations management with both service companies and as client’s consultant. He is also experienced on multi-client projects as well as Multi-beam Echosounder. He has worked on several software packages including Focus, OpenCPS (later Reveal), VISTA and ProMaxamong others. 

He completed his B. Sc. degree in Applied Geophysics at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1995. He is an active member of several professional organizations including Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG), Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB), European Association of Engineers and Geologists (EAGE) and Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE).
